1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Bia Electric Ltd platform at https://bia-electric.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

BIA Electric provides a digital platform for electrical contractors to:

• Create and manage electrical certificates (EIC, EICR, MWC)
• Generate quotes and invoices
• Use electrical calculation tools
• Manage customer relationships
• Use AI-powered tools for circuit analysis

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use

4. Credits and Payments

Some features of the Service require credits:

• Credits can be purchased through our platform via Stripe
• Purchased credits expire 2 years from purchase date
• Bonus credits expire 30 days from issue date unless otherwise specified
• Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable
• Prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
• Share your account credentials with others
• Create certificates for work you did not perform
• Submit false or misleading information

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Bia Electric Ltdand are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of content you create using our Service (certificates, quotes, etc.), but grant us a licence to store and display that content as necessary to provide the Service.

7. Professional Responsibility

Important: BIA Electric provides tools to help you create documentation, but:

• You are responsible for the accuracy of all certificates and documents you create
• You must hold appropriate qualifications and accreditations for the work you certify
• Our calculators and AI tools are aids, not substitutes for professional judgement
• You should verify all outputs before relying on them for certification
• We are not liable for errors in certificates you create or issue

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bia Electric Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the Service
• Any unauthorised access to your data
• Any errors or inaccuracies in the Service
• Any third-party conduct on the Service

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bia Electric Ltd and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
• You may request export of your data before termination
• Unused credits are forfeited and non-refundable

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
